Make the syrup
Stir the Granulated Sugar and 1 cup of Water together in a small saucepan. Set it over medium heat and stir often until the sugar fully dissolves and the liquid looks clear, about 3 to 5 minutes. Take it off the heat and let the syrup cool in the pan while you prep the fruit.
Juice the lemons
Wash the fruit well, then cut it in half and juice enough of it to give you 1 cup of Lemon Juice - usually 6 to 8 lemons, depending on size. Strain out any seeds, and slice the Lemon into thin rounds for garnish.
Mix the lemonade
Pour the lemon juice and the cooled syrup into a large pitcher. Add the remaining 4 cups cold water and stir well until the lemonade looks evenly blended and lightly cloudy.
Serve over ice
Fill glasses with Ice, pour in the lemonade, and finish each glass with a lemon slice.
