Berry Jam

Berry Jam is a sweet fruit preserve made by cooking mixed berries with sugar until thickened; it's commonly used as a spread on toast, in baking, or as a dessert topping. As a preserve, it is high in simple sugars — about 60g per 100g — and provides very little protein or fiber, so it adds sweetness and flavor more than bulk or lasting fullness. It does contribute small amounts of vitamin C and fruit-derived antioxidants from the berries, but because of the added sugar it’s best enjoyed in moderation or swapped for lower‑sugar alternatives when you want a healthier option.
