Bolillo

Bolillo is a traditional Portuguese bread roll with a crisp crust and soft interior, commonly served alongside meals or used for sandwiches. It is a relatively light white roll providing about 270kcal per 100g. As a refined wheat bread, it supplies mainly carbohydrates with modest protein and limited fiber, but it does contribute small amounts of minerals and B vitamins typical of enriched breads. Its folate and selenium content can be nutritionally useful compared with many other refined baked goods.
