Madeira

Madeira is a sweet, fortified wine from Portugal traditionally enjoyed as a dessert wine or after-dinner drink and known for its rich, concentrated flavors. Nutritionally it is relatively high in residual sugar, containing 13.7g of sugar per 100g, so it contributes more simple carbohydrates and calories than dry wines. While it is low in protein and fiber, Port does contain polyphenols — antioxidant compounds found in grape-based wines — but because of its sweetness and energy density it’s best enjoyed in moderation.
