Kasuri Methi

Kasuri Methi is a dried herb commonly used in South Asian cooking (often called Kasuri or Kasoori Methi) to add a slightly bitter, nutty and aromatic finish to curries, breads and stews. It originates from the fenugreek plant and is prized for its concentrated flavor and aroma in Indian, Pakistani and Middle Eastern cuisines. Nutritionally, Kasuri Methi is notable for its fiber content, providing about 40g of fiber per 100g, and it also contributes plant protein, vitamin and phytonutrient content when used in recipes (although it is typically used in small amounts). From a health perspective, dried fenugreek leaves are rich in carotenoid and fat-quality–related nutrients and supply compounds linked to antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects; they also contribute vitamin K and vitamin A activity and a favorable mix of plant fats when included as part of a varied diet.
