Canola (Rapeseed) Oil is a neutral-flavored vegetable oil made from rapeseed and widely used in cooking, baking and food manufacturing; varieties labeled "high-oleic" are optimized for higher monounsaturated fat. Nutritionally it is almost entirely fat, providing 100g of fat per 100g with a relatively low proportion of saturated fat and notable amounts of monounsaturated fats and alpha-linolenic acid (plant omega-3). While it supplies fat-soluble vitamin E and heart‑friendly unsaturated fats, it contains no protein or fiber and, like most refined oils, contributes energy without adding satiety or micronutrient diversity.
