Beef Tallow

Beef Tallow is rendered beef fat commonly used in traditional cooking for frying, roasting and as a flavoring fat in many cuisines; it’s prized for a high smoke point and rich, beefy flavor. Nutritionally it is almost entirely fat and contains about 50g of saturated fat per 100g, so it is very energy-dense and used sparingly in recipes. While beef tallow supplies some monounsaturated fat and small amounts of fat-soluble nutrients, it contains no protein or fiber and should be balanced with foods rich in vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins when eaten regularly.
