Cherry Juice is a beverage made from pressed cherries, commonly used in juices, cocktails, smoothies and as a flavoring in many cuisines; tart varieties are popular for their bright flavor while sweet cherries are used for smoother juices. As a liquid extract of fruit it delivers fruit flavor and some vitamins and minerals but lacks the texture of whole fruit. It provides about 170mg of potassium per 100g, along with modest vitamin C content. Because it is a juice, Cherry Juice contains most of the fruit's natural sugars but much less fiber than whole cherries; it also supplies antioxidant polyphenols found in cherries, which are associated with anti-inflammatory and recovery benefits.
